The RTS SRS5 is a rugged handheld barcode scanner combining state-of-the-art technology with durability and reliability.

The SRS5 has been specifically designed to be used with the Symbol VC5090, VRC7900 and VRC8900 series in heated and non heated applications. The SRS5 comes with specifically designed cables to allow it to be plug-and-play compatible.

When using VC5090, VRC7900 and VRC8900 terminals in low temperature environments, and the heated version of the SRS5, the RTS SRS5 DC-DC converter P/N PWRT132 for 6-60v forklifts or P/N PWRT133 for 15-96v forklifts will be required.

The SRS5 scanner provides long range scanning with the Lorax version and scanning through shrink wrap with the Fuzzy Logic version, enabling quick scanning from the forklift which can improve driver safety and efficiency.

When the scanner is used in low temperature applications, there is no requirement for any external heating device as the SRS5 has an optional built in heater. Precision optics and electronics provide a high first-hit-rate for most colour, thermal or carbon-based labels.
