RTS RS5

The RTS Rugged Scanner 5 is a rugged handheld barcode scanner combining state-of-the-art technology with durability and reliability.

The rugged scanner has been designed for long operational life in the most harsh and demanding industrial environments.

The easy-to-use RTS Rugged Scanner 5 was specifically designed for a variety of warehousing and distribution functions either mounted on a forklift or for on the factory floor. The scanner provides long range scanning and scanning through shrink wrap, enabling quick scanning from the forklift which can improve driver safety and efficiency.

Precision optics and electronics provide a high first-hit-rate for most colour, thermal or carbon-based labels. It can also be linked to a PC or a radio data terminal (RDT). The internal components,  including the scan engine assembly and associated electronics, are mounted on shock proof rubber supports to reduce direct impact when the units are dropped. This improves and extends the life of the product tenfold which lessens premature replacement costs as a result of damaged units.

Features Benefits
Advanced fuzzy logic Enables you to read the lowest-quality barcodes
Extended range Capable of reading barcodes within a range of 5 centimetres to 10 metres
Heavy-duty shielded cable  Robust and long lasting
High–impact, chemical-resistant casing Suitable for use in industrial environments
Rubber-mounted internal components Reduces possible damage to internal optical components when dropped
Low-temperature version with in-built internal heater and auto-demist feature Enables continuous operation without fogging at -30ºC without external heating device
Stainless steel top cover For additional strength and tethering
